Did you know that statistically, women are likely to spend less on individual pieces than men? It’s a scene we have seen a thousand times. A woman walks into the jewelry store, picks up a diamond, but talks herself out of buying it. Whether it be her husband, her kids, or just life, most women inherently want to take care of others before themselves.
This March, we are proud to join the Women’s Jewelry Association in celebrating women across the globe during the month of March. Here at Thomas Markle Jewelers, we want to empower female customers to shop for themselves. To do so, we are highlighting female executives throughout the industry to highlight and celebrate their success! As Beyoncé would say, “Who runs the world? Girls!”.
Our goal this month is to empower female customers to show them they never need a reason to buy fine jewelry, and they certainly don’t have to wait for someone to buy it for them! After all, many brands are now made for women, by women. This industry is a celebration of beauty, elegance, strength, and love.
The female designers we are highlighting are titans of the jewelry industry. First, we are celebrating the success of Valerie Messika! Born from a dream of diamonds in Paris, Messika is a popular fashion jewelry brand that celebrates female empowerment.
Second, we are highlighting a local Houston, Texas brand, Armenta! Since its founding, Armenta has created pieces with passion and meaning. Also, Armenta prides itself on supplying women throughout the world with an education and career path that will serve them throughout their entire lifetime.
Our third designer highlight is the prestigious diamonds of Hearts on Fire. Hearts On Fire follows such rigorous jewelry standards that only 1/10 of 1% of the world’s rough diamond crystals can become a Hearts On Fire diamond. Also, they partner with Girls Inc., the nonprofit organization that inspires girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
Our next designer highlight is Penny Preville, who speaks to a woman's personal sense of style, independence, and celebration of femininity. Her goal is to allow women to connect with the jewelry in a meaningful way. From fashion jewelry to bridal, Thomas Markle carries many Penny Preville collections, furthering her dream to celebrate women.
Finally, we are celebrating Kate Lagos of the Lagos brand. Kate has learned from her father, Steven Lagos, yet has a singular point of view that is effortless and joyful. She encourages all women to style, stack, and have fun.
Join us on social media as we delve deeper into each designer’s success with our exclusive video interviews. Each designer has used their female empowerment to contribute to a successful brand. When asked how being a woman impacted their journey success, they each attributed this as a pivotal moment in their career. That’s why Thomas Markle Jewelers is proud to honor the women and companies who make the jewelry industry what it is today.
