I visited two jewelers in the Houston location searching for the newly-released Tudor Pelagos FXD GMT. I didn't want to purchase online because I wanted to work with a local AD. In October, 2024, at each purveyor, I mentioned my interest in this timepiece. Because Tudor released this timepiece in October, 2024, they did not provide a delivery date. I went to to Thomas Markle Jewelers on Gessner, and discussed my interest in this timepiece with Sue, and I thought they may have had it in stock. They did not, but Sue mentioned to leave my contact information with her because Markle Jewelers may receive one or two timepieces before other local jewelers. I did. Six months later, to my surprise and to Sue's prescient suggestion, she received this timepiece and I purchased it. I am quite elated with this watch because of it's craftsmanship, functionality, and practicality with my line of work. I am very grateful to Sue, as she handled my purchase with professionalism, promptness, kindness, and thoughtfulness. In other words, good, old-fashioned customer service, and it won me over. If and when I purchase another Tudor, and I have one in mind, I will ask Sue to work with me, again. I wear this timepiece as my daily watch, and it reminds me how I obtained this timepiece, as rare as it is to obtain one. I usually wait to leave reviews after a few visits to reserve my judgment, both positive and negative. These are from my recent experiences at the Memorial City location. I tend to gravitate towards more family owned businesses as they often times offer a more personal and tailored experience. This establishment certainly did not fall short of those expectations. From my initial visit to every subsequent visit thereafter, I have always been greeted by someone with a polite and friendly smile before being met by my personal staff member. I can not give enough praise to Roland, there! I highly recommend him! I have never once felt rushed or pressured into buying anything. He has been more than happy to answer any questions (and I always have a lot) I had about of their brands - he is very knowledgeable and it really does come across. It's nice that they have many and various brands and price options for any occasion, under one roof, too. With that being said, Roland has always gone out of his way to accommodate me and really does follow up on products inquiries I may be interested in. They do take note of your interests as he has recently aquired a time piece that I have been looking for sometime now. When he reached out to me, he genuinely sound excited that he had gotten it for me, as much as I was happy to finally add it to my collection. We are now on to the next time pieces on my list. Let's be honest here, staff and sale representatives greatly does affect the buying experience. I believe this is where they differentiate from other places and excels at. Roland and the staff here really does elevate that buying experience; hence, I am sold on what they're selling moving forward.
